A lesser-known psychedelic drug is 3,4-Methylenedioxyphentermine (MDPH). Alexander Shulgin first synthesized MDPH. The effects of MDPH are very similar to those of MDA in his book PiHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known And Loved): they are both smooth and “stoning,” and do not cause visuals. They modify dreams and dream patterns as well. Shulgin defines MDPH as a promoter; it promotes, similar to 2C-D, the effects of other drugs.
